What is Bexley|CBD?

Bexley|CBD is the name of the proprietary hemp products company, formed by Bexley 9, Inc.  Bexley|CBD products include whole-plant hemp extracts from our farms in the USA. The extracts contain a unique blend of cannabinoids, as well as terpenes and flavonoids.

Cannabinoids are phyto-compounds that are produced by the hemp plant. Bexley|CBD developed a variety of hemp to provide health benefits without psychoactive effects.  Moreover, one of the most commonly known cannabinoids in hemp is non-psychoactive cannabidiol (CBD). Cannabinoids work with the mammalian Endocannabinoid System (ECS), which is a vast receptor system to support homeostasis and optimal health.* It exists in the immune system, the central nervous system, and within many organs. The ECS accepts our bodies' own endocannabinoids as well as the cannabinoids found in hemp.

Our products comply with all applicable State and Federal regulations.

Is industrial hemp the same as marijuana?

No. Even though they are both Cannabis sativa L., Industrial hemp is the non-psychoactive, low-THC, oilseed and fiber varieties of the Cannabis sativa plant. Hemp has absolutely no use as a recreational drug.

Why is hemp-derived CBD better than marijuana-derived CBD?

In contrast to marijuana-based CBD products, Bexley|CBD only uses hemp-derived CBD, which has naturally low levels of THC.  Bexley|CBD does not have to strip away the myriad beneficial nutritional elements from our botanicals to achieve legal levels of THC. This means Bexley|CBD is regulatory compliant without sacrificing the Full Range of Benefits that our farm fresh, Full Spectrum CBD provides through wonderfully natural and complex terpenes and phytocannabinoids.

Why are Bexley|CBD Full Spectrum CBD products better than CBD products made with only CBD isolates?

Don't settle for inferior CBD products that only use 'isolates' and 'infusions' rather than 'full-spectrum' hemp extracts.

While isolates may work for some people, there have been scientific studies published showing that CBD is more effective when it works along with other cannabis compounds and natural hemp components (this has come to be known as the 'entourage effect').

Do Bexley|CBD products contain THC?

This product is tested by high performance liquid chromatography to ensure it contains no more than the legal limit of 0.3% THC. Our products are non-psychoactive.

Will CBD products cause me to fail a drug test?

Much like the consumption of poppy seeds may lead to a positive drug test for opioids, the consumption of certain hemp products may lead to a positive drug test for tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). THC is inherently present in trace amounts in hemp plants. The legal limit of THC in hemp is no more than 0.3%. Furthermore, the underlying science behind the conversion of certain cannabinoids, for example cannabidiol (CBD), when consumed, to other related cannabinoids, for example THC, is not yet fully understood. The risk is low, individual biochemistry, the possibility of conversion of cannabinoids and the possibility of trace, but legal, amounts of THC inherent in hemp products. Please see your physician for individualized answers.

What extraction process is used to extract CBD from the hemp botanicals?

Our scientists use a proprietary scientific process that allows us to extract full spectrum CBD from the hemp botanicals.

How much oil does the dropper hold?

The dropper on 30mL bottles hold up to 1mL of Hemp Extract Oil.

Dropper use: Gently squeeze the rubber end and release. The dropper will be half full which indicates a "full dropper" (Oil will not fill the entire dropper).

Can the color of my hemp extract CBD oil vary from batch to batch?

Like fine wine, products that are made with ingredients grown in nature vary slightly from one harvest to the next. Bexley|CBD products are not made with any additives or dyes to standardize the color of our products. That said, you’re left with only 100% natural CBD oil, the way nature intended. If you experience a color difference from product to product that is due to the natural, seasonal variation in our hemp crops. We scientifically test each batch of Bexley|CBD to ensure that the amount of CBD remains consistent.

Is hemp legal to grow in the United States?

Under limited circumstances, certain states were involved in U.S. Government-approved hemp pilot studies and/or for production as permitted by Section 7606 of the 2014 Farm Bill.  Our farms were included in those studies. In a monumental change to U.S. law, on December 20, 2018, the President of the United States signed into law the 2017 Farm Bill, which legalized industrial hemp production in all 50 states.

Why was growing hemp made illegal?

According to the National Hemp Association, there are several theories as to why hemp was made illegal. The simplest and most likely scenario is that it simply got caught up in ‘Reefer Madness’ and the ban on marijuana. It was only in the 70’s that THC was identified as the psychoactive ingredient in marijuana. So when marijuana was banned they had no scientific way to differentiate hemp from marijuana and so they just banned it all.

Another theory is that big money industries are the cause. Newspaper publisher William Randolph Hearst led the crusade to ban hemp.  Hearst owned millions of acres of prime timber land and a machine that simplified the process of making paper from hemp had just been invented. Hearst used his power as a publisher to create public panic about the evils of hemp and marijuana.  Another big money player Pierre DuPont held patent rights to the sulfuric acid wood pulp paper process. In 1937 DuPont patented nylon rope made from synthetic petrochemicals. Along with Duponts backer Treasury Secretary Andrew Mellon the big money people prevailed and near the end of 1937 Congress passed the Marijuana Tax Act.  By placing a prohibitively high tax on hemp production it destroyed the industry.

Are all hemp-based cannabidiol (CBD) product sales final?

Yes. Each of our products are painstakingly produced from a limited farming operation with the best growing, cultivation, harvesting and scientific extraction practices possible. We produce batch tests for each production run to record purity, so we know the quality of our products before they ship.  Like the best wines, our supplies are limited.  Our products are processed in an FDA-registered food processing facility, and we cannot accept returns because we would not be able to resell the returned items. Our production costs make it impossible to operate our business with the very highest levels of quality while also allowing for returned products.  We must also avoid the common 'cyber theft' that occurs when buyers on the internet shoplift by calling their credit card companies to cancel payment, even when they receive and use the product. We actively participate in cybercrime investigations with credit payment processors.
